EDITORS' NOTES

Phūla is a sustainable Kuwaiti womenswear brand founded by Esraa Alfagaan and established in 2013. The journey started in the beginning with accessories only, and that's where the brand’s name comes from. Her concept behind PHŪLA, which means flower in Indian language, was to to create hand-made accessories that made women bloom and feel confident while wearing. But, after graduating as a Fashion designer in 2017, and taking different fashion courses from different universities, she found her love and passion for clothing and shifted to designing ethical, effortless ready-to-wear slow fashion silhouettes.
