We are somehow living in a world of lost identities, where the abundance of information and the lack of knowledge prevails and where wars and hatred are most of the time the end result.

We are a mixture of a diverse background so it requires strength to discover and identify our roots in order to become the citizen of the One World by embracing everything and everyone with love and awareness. This is where the idea came from. If we understand, preserve and appreciate the history, the background and the roots, we become grounded and we would have a solid base to embark onto this wonderful journey. My journey began with an architectural feature bookmark, with a door and a book to open up to a world of knowledge and a real understanding of our surrounding. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step, and the Jihan C journey in preserving the roots has already started.

Each bookmark is based on existing Middle Eastern Door/ Window designs, and is designed, shaped in a brass base, and plated in 24 karat gold. It is delicately designed to preserve the heritage of the Middle East and can serve as a marvelous souvenir and gift for all occasions.

Jihan C design strives to identify and strengthen the roots of any culture, embrace it and explore its reach and impact within a global multicultural world.
