SHAMSAH is named after the “Sun” in Arabic “شمسة”. The only star that shines and give us the light to see the beauty in our surroundings, to feel the warmth of its rays, and to sunkiss us when we are at the beach. The sunscreen paste is made from natural fats and minerals. It is not fractionated, meaning that each ingredient is in its whole form.

The goals of creating this natural sunscreen are:

• Zinc oxide offers both broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection.
• Water-resistant UVA & UVB protection for up to 35-60 minutes.
• Reapplication as needed for sensitive skin and active use.
• Organic ingredeints (Organic virgin coconut oil, hump tallow, organic bees wax, non-nano zinc oxide, vitamen-e and lavender essentail oil).
• The non-nano zinc oxide is a safer option than traditional sunscreen as it does not penetrate the skin and enter the bloodstream making it safe for babies and pregnant mamas!
• Because of the nature of this mineral-based sunscreen, a slightly white appearance may occur, but fades away minutes after light application which is thoroughly rubbed in.
• Utilizing only the highest quality, food grade, all natural and organic ingredients, Shamsa sunscreen contains no harmful chemicals or synthetics and is non-toxic, reef safe (oxybenzone free and octinoxate free) and kid safe.
