Fame: Andy Warhol Exhibition

Maraya Hall hosts a new art exhibition entitled “Fame: Andy Warhol in Al-Ula” to shed light on his relationship to the concept of fame, and his interpretation of it through printed pictures and drawings. This one-of-a-kind exhibition is held in collaboration with the Andy Warhol Museum, and includes a selection of the most important creative works of the American artist "Andy Warhol".

The exhibition includes drawings and art prints depicting the most important Hollywood stars, sports heroes, and music celebrities from around the world such as Taylor Swift, Muhammad Ali, and Dolly Parton. Among the artworks on display are portraits taken during "auditions" of the most controversial names of the 1960s. Guests of the exhibition have the unique opportunity to see a mural designed by Andy Warhol, in addition to his famous plastic work, "Silver Clouds". Accompanying the exhibition is a film of rare archival photographs including Hollywood advertisements and Polaroids taken by Andy Rahul in his studio and later used in his paintings and artwork.

The exhibition introduces the concept of fame and illustrates through the works displayed the reflections of the artists on contemporary society and culture, while highlighting the continuity of the relationship between the work of Andy Warhol and future generations.
